The process to change the Bigpond email server from IMAP to POP
· Users will have to open their settings and on Account type set to POP.
· Then change the incoming server details to smtp.telstra.com.
· Incoming server is recommended as 465 or 587.
· And the encrypted connection should be changed to SSL/TLS on port 465.
· In Outgoing server, change the server address to imap.telstra.com
· With outgoing server port to 993 and authentication should be turned On.
· Then change the encrypted connection to SSL.
Then enter users Telstra's username/address and password. And check the other settings where the Outgoing server requires authentication is ticked.
